Built around synthesisers, pulsing bass and processed animal sounds, the music reflects the film’s chaotic premise: zoo animals unleashed on a city after their water supply becomes contaminated.

This Death Waltz Recording Company edition presents the soundtrack on 180g vinyl, with original sleeve artwork by Luke Insect. The artwork’s vivid animal imagery and dark, dripping colours make it a striking addition to a soundtrack collection, while the score offers something distinctly stranger than conventional orchestral horror music.

For collectors drawn to Italian genre cinema and experimental electronic soundtracks, Wild Beasts is an intriguing record to explore with the lights down.
