Released in 1987 on Epic, Bad reunited Jackson with producer Quincy Jones, with Jackson also credited as co-producer. Its blend of tightly wound funk, polished pop, rock guitar and soulful balladry makes it a rewarding album to revisit from beginning to end.

From the punchy title track to the uplifting “Man in the Mirror” and the restless groove of “Smooth Criminal”, this is a record packed with distinctive songs.
