Released on Warner Bros. Records, the album channels the contrasting personalities of Gotham City through taut electronic grooves, theatrical vocals and romantic ballads.

Produced and largely composed, arranged and performed by Prince, the record moves from the dark pulse of “The Future” to the exuberance of “Partyman” and the intimate atmosphere of “Scandalous”. Sheena Easton joins him on “The Arms of Orion”, while dialogue samples from the film help connect the music to its cinematic world.

This is Prince’s song album rather than Danny Elfman’s orchestral score.
