Favourite Worst Nightmare is the second studio album by Arctic Monkeys — Alex Turner (vocals and guitar), Jamie Cook (guitar), Matt Helders (drums) and Nick O'Malley (bass) — from Sheffield, England, released in April 2007 on Domino Records. The album reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart. Brianstorm reached UK No. 2 (2007) and Fluorescent Adolescent reached UK No. 5 (2007). The 12-track album demonstrates Arctic Monkeys' ability to combine sharper, faster and more ambitious songwriting with Turner's distinctive vocals and clever lyrics, building on the success of their debut Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not (2006) and cementing them as one of the most important British rock bands of the 2000s.
