Heart of Stone is Cher's twenty-first studio album, released in 1989 on Geffen Records. Produced by Michael Bolton, Desmond Child, and others, it was the commercial centrepiece of her remarkable late-80s comeback — following the Oscar win, the Believe era was still a decade away, but this record proved she was already one of the most bankable artists of the period. The album reached #7 in the UK and #10 in the US, driven by the iconic If I Could Turn Back Time — one of the most recognisable rock-pop singles of the decade. With its mix of hard rock, power ballads, and emotional pop, it remains one of the strongest albums of her career.
