Between The Lines is the third studio album by Five Star, the Pearson family group from Romford who became one of Britain's most successful pop acts of the mid-80s. Released in 1987 on RCA Records and produced by Nick Martinelli, the album arrived on the back of two hugely successful predecessors and continued the group's run of polished, radio-ready pop-soul. Five Star were at their commercial peak during this period — regular chart fixtures, BRIT Award winners, and a fixture on Top of the Pops — making this a genuine piece of 1980s British pop history. The album reached #7 in the UK Albums Chart and spawned several hit singles.
