Greatest Hits is a 13-track compilation by Fleetwood Mac — Mick Fleetwood (drums), John McVie (bass), Christine McVie (keyboards and vocals), Stevie Nicks (vocals) and Lindsey Buckingham (guitar and vocals) — released in 1988 on Warner Bros. Records. The band was formed in London in 1967 and later relocated to California, where the classic lineup that produced Rumours (1977) — which sold over 40 million copies worldwide and remains one of the best-selling albums of all time — was established. The compilation reached No. 14 on the UK Albums Chart and spans the band's most commercially dominant period from 1975 to 1988. Dreams reached US No. 1 (1977), Don't Stop reached US No. 3 (1977), Go Your Own Way reached US No. 10 (1977), Little Lies reached UK No. 5 and US No. 4 (1987), Everywhere reached UK No. 4 (1988), Hold Me reached US No. 4 (1982) and Sara reached US No. 7 (1979).
