Horrible Bosses is a sharp, gleefully dark workplace comedy released in 2011 and directed by Seth Gordon, written by Michael Markowitz, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis play three friends whose working lives are made miserable by their respective bosses — a sadistic corporate tyrant (Kevin Spacey), a sexually predatory dentist (Jennifer Aniston) and a cocaine-addled buffoon (Colin Farrell) — and who hatch an increasingly chaotic plan to murder each other's employers. A box office hit grossing over $209 million worldwide, the film works because of the extraordinary chemistry between its three leads and the committed, scene-stealing villainy of its supporting cast. Funny, fast-paced and consistently surprising, it is one of the best studio comedies of the decade.
