Kim Wilde (Kim Smith) is one of the most successful British female artists of the 1980s, and this 20-track EMI compilation draws on the full breadth of her recording career, from her debut single Kids in America (1981) — written and produced by her father Marty Wilde and brother Ricky Wilde — through to her later catalogue. Wilde's career is one of the more remarkable in British pop: she scored a UK No. 1 with her cover of The Supremes' You Keep Me Hangin' On in 1988, performed at Michael Jackson's Bad world tour as support act, and later reinvented herself as a television gardening presenter before returning to music in the 2000s.
