True Blue is the third studio album by Madonna — born Madonna Louise Ciccone, from Bay City, Michigan — released in June 1986 on Sire Records and produced by Madonna, Stephen Bray and Patrick Leonard. The album reached US No. 1 and UK No. 1, becoming one of Madonna's most successful releases. Papa Don't Preach reached US No. 1 and UK No. 1 (1986), Live to Tell reached US No. 1 and UK No. 2 (1986), Open Your Heart reached US No. 1 and UK No. 4 (1986), True Blue reached UK No. 1 (1986) and La Isla Bonita reached UK No. 4 (1987).
