Definitely Maybe is the debut studio album by Oasis, released in August 1994 on Creation Records and produced by Owen Morris and Mark Coyle. It became the fastest-selling debut album in UK chart history at the time of release, entering the chart at No. 1 and selling over 100,000 copies in its first week. The album has since sold over 8 million copies worldwide and is consistently ranked among the greatest British rock albums ever made. Recorded at Monnow Valley Studio in Wales and Sawmills Studio in Cornwall, the album captures the Gallagher brothers — Noel and Liam — alongside Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan and Tony McCarroll at a moment of complete, unself-conscious confidence. The songs are built on T. Rex riffs, Beatles melodies and Noel Gallagher's gift for an anthemic chorus, and Liam's vocal — nasal, sneering and utterly magnetic — gives them an attitude and swagger that no other band of the era could replicate. Thirty years on, it sounds as vital and alive as it did in 1994.

- Cigarettes & Alcohol — The album's most nakedly hedonistic track and one of its most enduring; built on a T. Rex riff borrowed from Get It On, the song is a hymn to youthful excess that captures the spirit of mid-90s Manchester with complete authenticity and zero apology.
