Introspective is the third studio album by Pet Shop Boys — Neil Tennant (vocals) and Chris Lowe (keyboards), from London, England — released in October 1988 on Parlophone Records. The album reached UK No. 2. Always on My Mind reached UK No. 1 (1987), Heart reached UK No. 1 (1988), Domino Dancing reached UK No. 7 (1988) and Left to My Own Devices reached UK No. 11 (1988). The 6-track album presents extended, dance-oriented arrangements that highlight the group's creative approach to electronic music, combining intelligent lyrics, memorable melodies and polished electronic production with a unique concept of longer-form tracks.
