Crime of the Century is the third studio album by Supertramp — led by Roger Hodgson (vocals and keyboards) and Rick Davies (vocals and keyboards), from London, England — released in September 1974 on A&M Records and produced by Ken Scott. The album reached UK No. 4 and marked a major breakthrough for the band. Dreamer reached UK No. 13 (1975) and Bloody Well Right reached US No. 35 (1975). The 8-track album demonstrates Supertramp's sophisticated songwriting, atmospheric arrangements and the distinctive blend of rock, pop and progressive influences that became their signature sound, combining piano-led compositions, intricate instrumentation and the contrasting vocals of Hodgson and Davies.
