The title refers to the trio configuration of the band at the time of recording — Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen — following the departure of Jason Orange in September 2014, just weeks before the album's release. Robbie Williams, who had rejoined the band for Progress (2010), was not part of this recording. Produced by Gary Barlow and John Shanks, the album debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart — the band's sixth consecutive UK No. 1 album — and demonstrated that Take That's audience remained loyal and substantial despite the lineup changes.
