The Bad Education Movie is the feature-length spin-off from the hit BBC Three comedy series, released in 2015 and directed by Elliot Hegarty. Jack Whitehall returns as the hapless, well-meaning but spectacularly incompetent teacher Alfie Wickers, who takes his class of Abbey Grove misfits on a school trip to Cornwall — where things go spectacularly, inevitably wrong. Written by Whitehall and Freddy Syborn, the film expands the series' world with a bigger budget and a more ambitious set of comic situations, while retaining the warmth and anarchic energy that made the TV show a cult hit. A solid, funny British comedy that delivers exactly what fans of the series came for, and works well as a standalone watch for newcomers to Alfie's world.
