Scenes from the Southside is the second studio album by Bruce Hornsby and the Range — Bruce Hornsby (vocals and piano), from Williamsburg, Virginia — released in June 1988 on RCA Records. The album reached US No. 7 on the Billboard 200. The Valley Road reached US No. 5 (1988) and won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group. Look Out Any Window reached US No. 20 (1988). The 9-track album demonstrates Hornsby's distinctive piano-driven style, blending rock, folk and jazz influences with thoughtful songwriting and rich arrangements, giving him a position as one of the most respected musicians of the late 1980s.
