World Clique is the debut studio album by Deee-Lite — Lady Miss Kier (Kierin Kirby), Super DJ Dmitry (Dmitry Brill) and Towa Tei, from New York City — released in August 1990 on Elektra Records. The album reached US No. 20 and UK No. 5. Groove Is in the Heart reached US No. 4 and UK No. 2 (1990), becoming one of the defining records of the early 1990s club scene. The 10-track album showcases Deee-Lite's unique blend of house, funk, soul, disco and electronic sounds, with contributions from legendary musicians including Bootsy Collins, Q-Tip, Maceo Parker and Fred Wesley.
