Real Love is a studio album by Dolly Parton, released in 1985 on RCA Records and recorded in Nashville. The album followed the commercial success of The Great Pretender (1984) and continued Parton's mid-1980s run of polished country-pop releases. The title track Real Love is a duet with Kenny Rogers, recorded to accompany their collaborative film project, and gave the album its most immediately recognisable and commercially prominent moment. Think About Love reached No. 1 on the US Country Singles Chart, and Don't Call It Love was also a significant country chart success. The album includes Once in a Very Blue Moon, a composition by Nanci Griffith that had appeared on Griffith's own debut album There's a Light Beyond These Woods (1978) and would go on to become one of the most covered songs in the contemporary country and folk repertoire.
