Rocketman: Music from the Motion Picture is the soundtrack album to the 2019 biographical film Rocketman, directed by Dexter Fletcher and starring Taron Egerton as Elton John, released in 2019 on Virgin EMI/Interscope Records. The 22-track double LP features new performances of Elton John's greatest songs by the film's cast, with Egerton singing lead on the majority of tracks. The soundtrack also features performances by Kit Connor (young Elton), Richard Madden (John Reid), Jamie Bell (Bernie Taupin) and Celinde Schoenmaker (Renate Blauel). The closing track, (I'm Gonna) Love Me Again — a duet between Elton John and Egerton — won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song (2019). The soundtrack celebrates Elton John's remarkable songwriting partnership with Bernie Taupin and reimagines his catalogue with a cinematic approach that captures the emotion, energy and musical journey portrayed throughout the film.
