Finding Dory is Pixar's long-awaited sequel to Finding Nemo, released in 2016 and directed by Andrew Stanton and Angus MacLane, with a screenplay by Stanton and Victoria Strouse. Ellen DeGeneres returns as Dory, the short-term memory-loss-afflicted blue tang who, triggered by a fragment of memory, sets out to find her parents at the Marine Life Institute in California. Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo (Hayden Rolence) follow in her wake, while Dory forms new alliances with a grumpy septopus named Hank (Ed O'Neill) and a near-sighted whale shark (Kaitlin Olson). The film grossed over $1.03 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing animated sequel in history at the time of release.
