Released in 1987 on Music Man Records, Jackmaster 1 is one of the earliest and most important house music compilations ever released in the UK — a double LP that brought the sound of Chicago's underground club scene to British record shops at the very moment house music was about to change everything. Compiled at the height of the original house explosion, it features eleven tracks spread across four sides, with extended mixes and full-length versions designed for the dancefloor.
