Dangerous is the eighth studio album by Michael Jackson — born Michael Joseph Jackson, from Gary, Indiana — released in November 1991 on Epic Records, produced with contributions from Teddy Riley. The album reached US No. 1 and UK No. 1. Black or White reached US No. 1 and UK No. 1 (1991), Remember the Time reached US No. 3 and UK No. 3 (1992), Heal the World reached UK No. 2 (1992) and Will You Be There reached UK No. 9 (1993). The 14-track album marked a new era in Jackson's career, combining innovative production, powerful vocals and a groundbreaking fusion of pop, R&B, funk and new jack swing, with socially conscious songwriting and unforgettable melodies.
