Welcome to the Real World is the second studio album by Mr. Mister — Richard Page (vocals and bass), Steve George (keyboards), Steve Farris (guitar) and Pat Mastelotto (drums) — from Phoenix, Arizona, released in 1985 on RCA Records. The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Broken Wings reached US No. 1 (1985) and Kyrie reached US No. 1 (1986), giving Mr. Mister two consecutive US No. 1 singles. Is It Love reached US No. 8 (1986). The 10-track album demonstrates Mr. Mister's ability to combine polished production, melodic songwriting and a distinctive blend of rock, pop and new wave influences with Page's powerful vocals and George's memorable keyboard-driven arrangements, giving them a position as one of the most commercially dominant American bands of the mid-1980s.
