After the Rain is the debut studio album by Nelson — twin brothers Matthew Nelson and Gunnar Nelson, from Santa Monica, California, and sons of rock & roll legend Ricky Nelson — released in February 1990 on DGC Records. The album reached US No. 17. (Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection reached US No. 1 (1990), After the Rain reached US No. 20 (1991) and More Than Ever reached US No. 14 (1991). The 10-track album demonstrates the brothers' melodic blend of glam metal, hard rock and polished pop-rock songwriting, with soaring vocals, melodic guitar work, catchy choruses and powerful harmonies that captured the late hair metal era.
