Just Enough Education to Perform is the third studio album by Stereophonics, released in April 2001 on V2 Records and produced by Marshall Bird and Steve Bush. The Welsh trio — Kelly Jones, Richard Jones and Stuart Cable, from the village of Cwmaman in the Cynon Valley — had established themselves as one of the most commercially successful British rock acts of the late 1990s with Word Gets Around (1997) and Performance and Cocktails (1999), and this third album consolidated that position emphatically. It debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and sold over 2 million copies worldwide. The album is a more varied and musically confident record than its predecessors, ranging from the driving rock of Vegas Two Times and Have a Nice Day to the extended, atmospheric closer Rooftop. Kelly Jones's voice — raw, gravelly and immediately distinctive — gives even the album's most straightforward rock moments a genuine emotional weight and authenticity.

- Rooftop — The album's closing track and its most ambitious; a six-minute atmospheric rock song that builds slowly and gives the album a conclusion of real emotional weight and musical ambition, demonstrating that Stereophonics' songwriting extended well beyond the three-minute rock format.
- Maybe — One of the album's most melodically generous and emotionally direct moments; a mid-tempo rock ballad that showcases Jones's ability to deliver something more vulnerable and intimate, and gives the album a welcome change of pace and emotional register in its second half.
