The Wild Heart is the second solo studio album by Stevie Nicks — born Stephanie Nicks, from Phoenix, Arizona, and formerly of Fleetwood Mac — released in June 1983 on Modern Records. The album reached US No. 5 on the Billboard 200. Stand Back reached US No. 5 (1983) and features Prince on synthesizer — Nicks has said the song was inspired by Prince's Little Red Corvette. If Anyone Falls reached US No. 58 (1983). The 10-track album demonstrates Nicks' distinctive vocals, poetic songwriting and atmospheric blend of rock, pop and folk influences, with contributions from Tom Petty and Jimmy Iovine, giving her a position as one of rock's most celebrated female artists.
