Released in 1988 by EMI, Virgin and PolyGram, Now That’s What I Call Music 13 brings together 32 tracks across two vinyl LPs. Compiled by Ashley Abram, it captures a colourful mix of late-eighties pop, soul, dance and rock, with artists including Yazz and the Plastic Population, Erasure, Phil Collins, Kim Wilde and Duran Duran.
From Womack & Womack’s “Teardrops” and Inner City’s “Big Fun” to All About Eve’s “Martha’s Harbour”, the selection moves between dancefloor favourites and gentler moments. The gatefold artwork features photographs and notes on the artists, making this a nostalgic snapshot of the era.
